Hillary Join Army

Hillary Rodham Clinton tried to join the Army in the 1970s, but was turned away because of her poor eyesight, according to her husband, Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton first mentioned that his wife tried to join the armed forces in 1994, but said that his wife had gone to a Marine Corps recruiting office and was turned away for the same reason. The credibility of such statements have been questioned in the past, and Clinton's attempt to join the military has never been substantiated. Bill Clinton avoided service during the Vietnam war by obtaining student deferments.
