Heidi Montag is a cast member on the hit MTV reality show The Hills. Heidi Montag has also been referred to as one half of "Speidi", which pertains to her relationship with boyfriend Spencer Pratt. Heidi is an aspiring singer as well as fashion designer.

Montag met co-star Lauren Conrad during freshman orientation in college. Montag's friendship with Conrad led to her having a featured role in The Hills.

The majority of the drama that tore Lauren Conrad and Heidi apart can be contributed to Heidi's boyfriend, Spencer Pratt. Lauren thought Spencer was a cheater and no good. Heidi refused to agree with Lauren, and began to spend more time away from her BFF and with her new boyfriend. Having Lauren not approve of her boyfriend and relationship, began to tear their friendship apart. The final straw that caused Lauren to write Montag off was when Pratt and Montag allegedly began spreading rumors about a Lauren Conrad sex tape, which Lauren denies.
