Halloween History
The celebration of Halloween goes back to the ancient religion of the Celtics in Ireland. When Christianity started to spread in Europe the Christians tried to blend their beliefs with the pagan beliefs so they would reflect a more Christian world view.
The traditional Halloween symbols came to the United States in the 1800s when millions of Irish immigrants came to America due to the potato famine.
