Guo Jingjing
Chinese diver Guo JingJing has been competing in the Summer Olympics since 1996. Prior to the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, Guo had won four gold medals. In August of 2008, she won gold medals in the women's three meter synchronized diving event and the women's three meter springboard event.

Diving Career
Guo began competing in international diving competitions when she was 14 years old in 1995. She competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics, where she placed fifth in the platform diving event. Guo placed higher in her second Olympic appearance, when she took home a silver medal in the three meter springboard and synchronized springboard events at the 2000 Summer Games. She repeated as Olympic three meter springboard and synchronized springboard champion at the 2004 Olympics in Greece. Guo is also the defending world champion for the same events. Starting in 2001, Guo has won the three meter springboard and synchronized springboard events at each FINA World Aquatics Championships.
