Grenadine is a type of syrup used as an ingredient in cocktails as well as non-alcoholic beverages such as Shirley Temples, Pink Lemonade, and Cherry Coke. Once made with real pomegranate juice, most brands of grenadine have replaced their fruit base with artificial ingredients.

Shirley Temple Recipe
Ingredients
- Ice
- Grenadine
- Orange Juice
- Ginger Ale
- Maraschino Cherries and Orange Slices
Directions
In a tall glass add about 1/8 ounce of grenadine and then drop three to four ice cubes into the glass. Fill halfway with orange juice and then add the ginger ale as it almost fills the glass. Place an orange slice on the rim and add two cherries into the drink for decoration and added flavored.
