August 22, 2008: Gons Nachman, an ex-U.S. diplomat, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for possessing child pornography and having sex with teenage girls in Brazil and the DR Congo. Nachman admitted to his sexual relations with underage girls on foreign soil but claims his actions were culturally acceptable in those countries.1
