Georgetown UMBC Bracket

• Georgetown had a disappointing finish to a solid season, losing to the Pittsburgh Panthers in the Big East Conference championship. However, the Hoyas finished 15-3 in their conference and 27-5 overall atop the Big East. With a 82-65 victory over Hartford, the Maryland-Baltimore County Retrievers attained its first birth in the NCAA Tournament. UMBC finished 24-8 overall, going 13-3 against conference opponents.

Georgetown UMBC Pre-Game Analysis

• Little known 15-seed, UMBC will face-off against number 2 Georgetown in Raleigh. The undersized Retrievers have their hands full with 7-foot-2 Roy Hibbert and 6-8 forward, DaJuan Summers. UMBC guard played with Hibbert as a kid and stated: "growing up was mostly in AAU, and I don't think we did stop him, to tell you the truth." The same may be true for Friday's contest. UMBC must have a big night out of their 5-8 guard Jay Greene if they want to be competitive.
