Eric Sims is one of five men arrested in connection with the April 22, 2008 Indianapolis, Indiana bank robbery during which the five-months-pregnant Katherin Shuffield was shot in the stomach. Joseph Wilburn, Stevan Peterson, Tyrone Daniels and Shead James have been charged with conspiring to commit robbery. The men were arrested after a raid at a duplex in east side Indianapolis. Investigators found evidence related ot the robbery in the duplex. Police are still searching for the gunman who is "still at large".
The Fifth Suspect
Sims was arrested on a preliminary charge of child neglect not related to the robbery. It is unclear as to his involvement in the robbery.
Katherin Shuffield
A bank teller at the Huntington National Bank, Shuffield was shot in the stomach during the April 2008 robbery. The bullet missed her twins, and Sheffeild is listed in serious, but stable condition.
