Guide Note:U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Eric Acevedo was arrested and charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend Mollieann Worden on March 22, 2008. His bail was set at one million dollars.

Acevedo joined the Marines in 2003 and according to his father, his tour of duty in Iraq left him with post traumatic stress disorder. On Saturday, March 22, 2008, Acevedo allegedly broke into Worden's home and stabbed her numerous times with a kitchen knife. He was arrested shortly after in the parking lot as he was pacing and covered in Wordens' blood.
