Info

Two years after World Wrestling Entertainment bought out Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 2003, it held a pay-per-view that reunited many of ECW's old stars. The event, titled One Night Stand, was successful enough for the company to give the ECW brand its own show on the Sci Fi Channel.

The show, simply titled ECW, became a ratings hit for the network, and has since continued to be broadcast.1 ECW is usually aired live at SmackDown! brand tapings, using the same set and sometimes featuring SmackDown! talent.
