Diana DeGarmo is an American singer and Broadway star. She was the second place finalist on American Idol Season 3, losing to Fantasia Barrino during the season finale. She appeared in the award-winning musical Hairspray until February, 2007. She released two singles, "Dreams" and "Emotional", from her 2004, debut album Blue Skies. She could most recently be seen on the CMT reality show Gone Country, alongside Bobby Brown, Maurren McCormick, Julio Iglesias, Jr., Sisqo, Carnie Wilson and Dee Snider.

Theatre
Since she was a small child DeGarmo has been performing in theatre plays and musicals. In 2005, she made her stage debut in a lead role at the American Musical Theatre of San Jose, in a production of West Side Story, where she played Maria. She went on to make her Broadway debut in the musical Hairspray in February, 2006, as the nerdy Penny Pingle. She also had the lead role of Brooklyn in the national tour of Brooklyn: The Musical during the summer of 2006.
