Daisy De La Hoya competed for Bret Michaels' attention as a contestant on Rock of Love 2 in early 2008 on VH1. She was a finalist, but lost to contestant Ambre Lake. In August 2008, she was rumored to be romantically linked to rock star Tommy Lee.¹

A professional shot posted on De La Hoya's MySpace depicted her in black lace lingerie sitting on a tile floor holding her middle finger to her lips and wielding a Jack Daniels bottle with the other hand. In front of her was a scattering of shell casings along with a broken mirror containing several lines of a white powder that was supposed to look like cocaine. De La Hoya stated that she was not exposing herself in the photo, and that the white powder was actually flour.²³
