DJ AM
DJ AM, who's real name is Adam Goldstein, is an entertainment DJ and a former member of the band Crazy Town. In 2008, he released a mixtape featuring drummer Travis Barker of Blink 182.1

Lawsuit
In December 2008, DJ AM filed suit against the pilots of the Learjet that crashed in September 2008, of which he was a passenger. DJ AM claims that the pilots, Sarah Lemmon and James Bland, "negligently aborted takeoff" causing the plane to crash. Both pilots perished in the crash. He also named Goodyear and the Learjet charter company in the suit.4
September 19, 2008 Plane Crash
On September 19, 2008, DJ AM was critically injured in a plane crash. Both he and Travis Barker were on board a Learjet that crashed in South Carolina after a performance. The crash left four people dead. DJ AM and Barker suffered severe burns. DJ AM was airlifted to a burn center for treatment where he was placed in an incubator to reduce his chances for infection.5 On September 26, 2008, DJ AM was released from the hospital.6
Career
DJ AM's big break came when Melissa Etheridge hired him as the dj for her 40th birthday party in 2001. Since then, he has appeared on albums for artists such as Madonna, Will Smith, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Powerman 5000, Bubba Sparxx, Nikka Costa and Papa Roach.1
