Green Party presidential candidate and former Democratic Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney claims the Department of Defense executed 5,000 prisoners and then disposed of the bodies in a Louisiana swamp. McKinney claims the government used Hurricane Katrina to cover up the alleged executions. A Defense Department spokesperson called McKinney's allegations "outrageous."1
