An Amber Alert was issued for 4-year-old Colin Nathaniel Custer on June 16, 2008. The child was reportedly abducted by his father, 45-year-old Robert William Custer II, in Lexington County, South Carolina. Colin was reportedly found safe the following day, on June 16. His father was taken into custody.

The Abduction
An Amber Alert was issued for Colin Nathaniel Custer after the boy's mother, Renee Pennell-Rashell, was found locked in a gas station bathroom. Pennell-Rashell reportedly told police that Robert William Custer II was her ex-boyfriend, and that he'd kidnapped her and their son after a court-ordered visitation on Sunday, June 15, 2008.2
