Once you've selected your Christmas tree, it's time to set it up at home in a place away from any heat sources. You'll be stringing lights and hanging ornaments before you know it.

Fast Facts:

Make a fresh cut of an inch or so to your tree's base. This will keep sap from preventing your tree's water absorption.
Put your tree in a tree stand.
One person should hold the tree steady while another adjusts the setting on your stand.
Keep your tree away from any heat sources.
Make sure lights are in good condition.
Keep your tree well watered.
