Christina Garcia

Christina Garcia is the mother of Mercades Nichols, one of the teenage girls allegedly involved in the beating of 16-year-old Victoria Lindsay on March 30, 2008.

On April 8, 2008, Garcia appeared on Today to discuss what happened with Lindsay. She told Matt Lauer that the police were blowing the entire incident out of proportion, and in other interviews stated the three minutes of videotape released by the sheriff's department were the worst segment of the 30-minute videotape. She informed Lauer that her daughter warned Lindsay that several girls wished to attack her before Lindsay went in the house. In several interviews, Garcia also said that Lindsay provoked the attack by calling the girls names on MySpace, and that Mercades Nichols turned over the videotape to police. Garcia denies that her daughter took part in the beating and is trying to gain a surveillance video from a convenience store to provide Mercades Nichols with an alibi.

According to News Channel 8, on April 11, 2008, Christina Garcia signed an exclusivity agreement with producers of the Dr. Phil show, and will no longer be speaking to media. Fast Facts:
