Chelsea Clinton is the daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton. She attended Stanford University, from which she graduated with a degree in history in 2001, before earning a master's degree in international relations at the University of Oxford. Since leaving university, Chelsea Clinton has worked for several financial institutions, most recently at a hedge fund managed by Marc Lasry, a long time Clinton supporter. Until her mother's campaign for the 2008 Presidential Nomination, Chelsea Clinton had never commented on or taken an active role in her parent's political lives. In December, 2007, Chelsea Clinton began actively campaigning for her mother, during which she has drawn criticism for her blanket refusal to speak to any member of the press. MSNBC commentator David Shuster controversially stated that Chelsea Clinton was being "pimped out" by her parents, a comment that he was eventually suspended for.
