Celine Dion is a popular Canadian pop singer, songwriter and actress who has sold over 200 million albums throughout her career. She began singing at an early age and began her professional career in the 1980s.
Dion's first album was financed by her manager René Angélil, whom she later married. Her mortgaged his home in order to come up with the funds.
On March 25, 2003, Dion began her three-year, 600 show contract at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The show was so successful that her contract was extended and finally ended on December 15, 2007. She released a DVD on December 10, 2007, called Live in Las Vegas - A New Day...
