Guide Note:Carlos Cruz was charged on April 15, 2008 for the murder of girlfriend Chelsea Frazier. Cruz is accused of hiring his cousin Devon Miller in a staged robbery.

On April 13, the couple was driving from Massachusetts to New York when they pulled over because accordin to Cruz, their 14 month old baby was in the back seat fussing. Cruz told police that a green SUV appeared and a man demanded Cruz's chain. The man then shot and killed Frazier.

The stories that Cruz told police and the stories he told his relatives had many discrepancies which raised suspicion. An eyewitness had claimed that they even heard Cruz shouting "Hey! You forgot to shoot me!"

Cruz finally admitted to investigators that he had hired his cousin for $1,000 to meet them in a secluded area of the Bronx and kill Frazier. Fast Facts:
