Britney Mayes

Lakeland, Florida girl Britney Mayes was one of several students accused of beating a classmate and taping it with the intent of posting the video on YouTube. Victoria Lindsay, a Mulberry High cheerleader, was the student that was attacked and will reportedly not be returning to the school.

Lindsay sustained a concussion, damage to her left eye and ear and numerous bruises, as a result of the beating, according to the sheriff's office. The students involved in the attack were arrested and taken to Polk County Juvenile Assessment Center. Mayes, along with two other girls, has been charged with felony kidnapping and witness tampering. Mayes allegedly attempted to intimidate Lindsay into keeping mum about the attack.

Mayes is currently released on bail. Under the conditions of her bail, she may not go to the restaurant where Lindsay works, may not use the Internet, may not attend Mulberry High School, and may not have any contact with the others charged with the beating. Fast Facts:
