May 28, 2008: Two trolleys collided near Boston around 6:00 p.m. EST. Both trolleys had cars that derailed. The incident occurred near Woodland Station.

Rescue workers had to use the jaws of life to rescue the driver of one of the trolleys. One passenger was flown from the scene by medical chopper to receive treatment for injuries sustained in the collision.

It is unknown the total number of injured at this time. MBTA has announced that the green line has been shut down in the accident area. Shuttle bus service is running between Reservoir and Riverside.
