Blondie is a Rock band from New York City that helped to popularize the New Wave and underground Punk movements of the late 1970s. The band got their start by playing in such legendary clubs as Club 51, Max's Kansas City and CBGBs and released two albums before finally hitting it big with the 1978 album Parallel Lines. That album featured the song "Heart of Glass", which went on to become a hit in the U.S. and helped make the band a mainstream success. While the band broke up in 1982, lead singer Deborah Harry wenton to have success career as both an actress and a solo artist.
