Bill Smith

Guide Note:
Bill Smith is the founder of the Main Line Animal Rescue, a no kill shelter located in Pennsylvania. Smith forms relationships with owners of Puppy Mills so when they no longer want a dog, the call up Smith and tell him to come and get the dogs before they are killed.
A team of volunteers help to get the dogs proper medical care, exercise, grooming, and plenty of play time. When the dogs are ready, they are adopted into loving homes.
Smith was featured on the April 4, 2008 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show after spending $10,000 on a billboard that read "Oprah, do a show on Puppy Mills. The dogs need you."
