Bill Nye the Science Guy
Scientist, engineer,
comedian,
author, and
inventor Bill Nye was the fast-talking bow tie-wearing creator and host of the
PBS television program
Bill Nye the Science Guy. During its six year run, from 1993-1997, the show earned 28
Emmy Awards.
Each of the 100 episodes illustrated a different science concept to the preteen audience using humor, experimentation, and a mock music video that substituted the lyrics of a popular song with a summary of the show.
