As worldwide fascination with
Ashley Alexandra Dupre snowballed throughout early and mid-March 2008, the woman at the center of the Eliot Spitzer prostitution ring scandal continued to show up in new photo and video collections via the Internet and other media. Some of her more notable video footage was taken by the Girls Gone Wild crew in 2003 when Dupre (legal name Ashley DiPietro) celebrated her 18th birthday during Spring Break in Panama City, Florida. GGW founder Joe Francis rescinded a million-dollar offer to Dupre to appear on tour and tell her story when the company found "hours" of footage of her dressed in—and taking off—GGW attire at parties and inside the Girls Gone Wild tour bus.
