Guide Note
The Arizona State University football team plays college football in the Pacific Ten Conference. The football program plays home games in Sun Devil Stadium, which until 2005 was also the home of the annual Fiesta Bowl game. The program joined the league in 1978, along with arch rival Arizona Wildcats. The Sun Devils have won three conference championships in their history.

Kush-Lash
The high watermark of the program's history occurred during the coaching tenure of Frank Kush. The Sun Devils were 173-57-1 under Kush from 1958 to 1979, and the team posted 19 winning seasons in 22 years, including a pair of undefeated seasons in 1970 and 1975.

Great players in the history of the program include John Jefferson, Jake Plummer, Danny White, Charley Taylor, Mark Malone, Eric Allen, Randall McDaniel, Todd Heap, Levi Jones, Terrell Suggs, Darren Woodson and Pat Tillman.
