Annie Lennox performed during the April 6, 2008 taping of the
Idol Gives Back charity drive special. Lennox sang the
Jimmy Cliff song "Many Rivers to Cross" on the
Idol stage, and also taped a segment with four brothers in Africa, orphaned when their parents died of
AIDS.
About Idol Gives Back, Lennox said "I think people are really hungry for a kind of consciousness shift, where we feel the connectivity between our different countries."
