Andreas Krieger
East German shot put champion Andreas Krieger was born Heidi Krieger, and competed in the sport as a woman, before having a sex-change operation in 1997. Krieger believes that Oral-Turinabol anabolic steroids given to him by his East German coaches are responsible for turning him into a man.
