Ana Paula Connelly
Ana Paula Connelly is a Brazilian beach volleyball player. She has competed in the Summer Olympics in 1992, 1996, 2004 and 2008.

Last Minute Replacement
Ana Paula Connelly was not originally expected to compete at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing after she and her partner, Shelda Bede, failed to qualify. However, Connelly was asked to play beach volleyball with Larissa Franca after Franca's partner, Juliana Felisberta Silva, was injured.
2008 is Connelly's fourth trip to the Olympic games. She won bronze at the 1996 games as a member of the Brazilian indoor volleyball team. She also competed at the games in 1992 and in 2004.
