Amy Winehouse Grammy Performance
Amy Winehouse was originally scheduled to perform live at the 2008 Grammy Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles, California on February 10, 2008.
Winehouse had been in a rehabilitation clinic since January 24, 2007 and it was unclear if she could travel to the U.S.. It had been reported that Winehouse met with UK officials to discuss obtaining a visa to leave England, but her application was rejected by U.S. officials.1
While the decision to deny Winehouse access into the U.S. was later overturned, it was too late for her to attend the ceremony.
Her performance was filmed in London and broadcast live via satellite. 2
