American Idol contestant Ramiele Malubay performed the song "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" on the February 20, 2008 episode of the hit televised singing competition. The song was written in Italian by Pino Donaggio and Vito Pallavicini then translated by Vicki Wickham and Simon Napier-Bell into English. Dusty Springfield recorded the English version and it reached the number four spot on the Billboard charts in 1966.
