The American Idol Season 7 Top 9 were announced on the episode that aired on March 26, 2008 at 9pm Eastern and 8pm Central. The results show followed the night where performers sang songs that were written during the year they were born. Highlights of the night included: David Cook's "Billie Jean", Michael John's "We Are the Champions", and Kristy Lee Cook's "God Bless the USA".
Ultimately Chikezie Eze was eliminated at the end of the program.
