But speculation is at its peak on Tuesday nights, after the performances, when voting lines have closed and all Idol fans want to know is who will be the next to go home.

American Idol Season 7 Spoilers

  • TMZ is also reporting that the show brought in 100 million votes for the two contestants last night.
  • Dial Idol is predicting that David Cook is going to win by over 10% tonight. Check back this evening to find out if they were right.
  • Spoilers 5/20: To close out the show Ruben Studdard put in an appearance to sing the elimination song "Celebrate Me Home."
  • The last songs of the night were contestants choice. Cook chose the Collective Soul song "The World I Know", while Archuleta chose his heavy-hitter from earlier in the season, "Imagine." Simon gave the last round to David A. again.
  • David Cook's second song tonight was "Dream Big" from the American Idol Songwriter's Competition. David A.'s was "In This Moment." Again, Simon gave the round to Archuleta.
  • David Cook's first song was "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" by U2. David Archuleta's first song was "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" by Elton John. Simon ruled that round one went to Archuleta.
  • After last week's episode David Archuleta won the coin toss and elected to go second, which left David Cook in the first spot tonight.
  • TMZ did not release any spoilers this week, but there have been some floating around the internet regarding a possible song choice of David Cook's, to guest performances tomorrow night. Please check back throughout the night as information as updated.
  • Spoilers 5/7: Dial Idol is predicting that Jason Castro will be sent home tonight. Check back later to find out if their prediction was on the money.
  • Spoilers 5/6: TMZ.com is reporting the four remaining contestants will be singing the following songs.
  • Spoilers 4/30:
  • For the second week in a row Dial Idol has predicted correctly the contestant going home. The contestant this week was Brooke White.
  • Next week's theme is Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame.
  • Ryan Seacrest addressed the rumors that were circulating on the internet, TV and radio stations today about possible drug or alcohol use and how it contributed to last night's mix-up.

    • Randy: Most brilliant performance yet.
    • Paula: Pretty awesome.
    • Simon: It was like coming out of karaoke hell into a breath of fresh air.
  • Carly Smithson - "Without You"
    • Randy: Liked that she challenged herself, but Smithson needed more confidence.
    • Paula: Appreciated that Smithson showed some vocal restraint and made the song her own.
    • Simon: Did not think that Smithson pulled off the performance.
  • Brooke White - "Hero"
    • Randy: Like it until she hit the bridge. Appreciated the singer songwriter aspect of it.
    • Paula: Enjoyed the unplugged version of the song. Felt like the song was a little faster than it should have been.
    • Simon: Felt as if something was missing.

  • TMZ: Is the Fix in for Archuleta?: TMZ feels that the judges may have been programmed to gush over David Archuleta's performances last night and that it may indicate he's being set up for winning the finale. What do you think?
  • Gossip 4/30:
  • TMZ: Idol Castoff Even More Delusional Then Paula: A young man that tried out for the Idol auditions and didn't make it through. However, Simon Cowell promised the young man a gig hosting the finale's red carpet for the local television station. The only problem is, the station doesn't agree.   • TMZ: Ryan Ain't No Dunkleman: Rumors began circulating around Hollywood that Ryan Seacrest may be fired from American Idol because of poor ratings. However, Idol execs say that it's not true. What would the show be without the bickering between Cowell and Seacrest?

  • TMZ.com: Jason Castro All But a Memory: Rumors are circulating that Ryan Seacrest leaked information about tonight's results show and who was being sent home. TMZ reports that it's not possible because there are only two people that know the results of the show before it airs: Nigel Lythgoe and Cecile Frot-Coutaz.
  • TMZ.com: Little Brooke White Lies: After Brooke White performed last night and listened to the judge's comments she told them that she had never forgotten her lyrics before. TMZ.com posted this morning that her comment was a lie. They referred back to a performance from a couple weeks ago where she also forgot her lyrics and had to restart her performance.
