Albuquerque Balloon Accident
A hot air balloon caught fire and crashed during a balloon festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Local news report that the balloon has come into contact with power lines and ignited, resulting in the separation of the gondola where the passengers sat from the hot air envelope.1
The gondola went down and crashed into the ground. One of the passengers died and another sustained critical injuries, according to reports. The authorities investigate the scene of the accident.2
Several similar accidents occurred at the same festival last year, when some of the people who crashed survived the accident.3
