Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is the first Conan the Barbarian MMORPG. The game takes place in a dark setting full of bloodshed and war. Unlike other MMOs, the game has a mature rating and does not employ the usual fantasy creatures other than those created by Robert Howard (author of Conan).

The game is set in the Conan universe where eventually you will have the opportunity to meet Conan himself. The game allows you to fight mounted or on the ground, utilizing the Real Combat Engine as well as a multi-point melee system. This melee system allows you to target certain parts of the enemies' body with your weapon. The new combat system also allows players to create battle formations and command NPCs in epic multiplayer battles.

There has been some buzz among the beta testers that the game is not yet polished enough for its release on May 20, 2008. However, the game is still slated for release and has even gone gold for the PC version.
