Semi-nude photos of the Cheetah Girls' Adrienne Bailon surfaced online following the alleged theft of her personal laptop while she was at JFK Airport in late October. TMZ.com reported the initial theft story on November 8, 2008.1 On November 12, 2008, US Weekly reported that the pictures were actually taken by Bailon's spokesman-turned-blogger Jonathan Jaxson and leaked online as part of a publicity campaign for the actress.2

The Theft
In late October, Bailon was at JFK Airport when she noticed that her laptop was missing from her bell cart. She reported it missing to the Port Authority. That same day her record label received a phone call from a man who claimed he would return the laptop for $1,000.1
Laptop Returned
The laptop was returned to Bailon following a meeting with the man. Afterwards, it was discovered that the semi-nude photos of Bailon were missing. They were intended to be an anniversary gift for her boyfriend, Robert Kardashian Jr.1
The Backlash
Following the release of the nude photos of Bailon, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade opted out of having The Cheetah Girls perform during the event. According to a source from the parade, the organizers didn't feel it was fitting to have them perform at a family-oriented event.5
