Able Danger Movie
Able Danger is the title of Dave Herman's 2008 movie about a Brooklyn 9/11 "truther" - a person who hooked by the 9-11 Truth Movement. The 9-11 Truth Movement believe that the U.S. Government (or dark forces within it) were behind the September 11 attacks.
The movie's protagonist meets a woman who claims to have evidence that America's intelligence community was involved in the mass murder. She claims to have a hard-drive of data from the secret Able Danger unit tasked with finding terrorists by computing vast amounts of data on possible suspects.1

The Able Danger Unit
Able Danger was the codename given to a highly-classified intelligence unit created in 1999. They were tasked with using computers to analyze huge amounts of information on potential terrorist suspects.3
In 2005, Representative Curt Weldon asserted that Able Danger successfully identified four of the 9-11 conspirators, including the alleged ringleader Mohammed Atta, in 2000.4 Acording to Weldon, the Pentagon turned down a request from Able Danger to inform other agencies, an act that may have cost lives on 9-11. Soon after, Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer confirmed the unit was prevented from passing information to FBI by Pentagon lawyers.3
9-11 Movies and Documentaries
Major Hollywood films dealing with 9-11 include Paul Greengrass's docu-drama United 93, which tries to re-imagine the events on that fateful flight. Oliver Stone's World Trade Center related the "true" story of Port Authority police officers John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno, who became trapped under the rubble of the World Trade Center at Ground Zero.
Documentary-makers have also tackled the subject. Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 ridiculed President Bush's response to the attacks and his behavior in the months leading up to them. Loose Change, a series of documentary films written and directed by Dylan Avery, brought together the disparate strands of the growing 9-11 Truth Movement into a coherent (to some) film.
