Abby Wambach Broken Leg
Professional U.S. Women's National Team soccer player Abby Wambach suffered a broken leg during a match versus Brazil on July 16, 2008.1 She underwent surgery to implant a titanium rod in her broken left leg on July 17, 2008. The recovery will take 12 weeks and Wambach will not be able to participate in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.2
