Aaron Schobel

Aaron Schobel is a professional football player, currently playing for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. An anchor for the Bills defense, Schobel has appeared in two Pro Bowls in 2006 and, playing as an alternate, in 2007.

Early Years

A high school standout at linebacker, Aaron Schobel was a two-time all-district player at Columbus High School in Texas. He was heavily recruited and decided to attended Texas Christian University; a school both his father and uncle played football at. At TCU Schobel was voted a two-time consensus first-team all-[[WAC]. He opted to enter the 2001 NFL draft, and was selected by the Bills in the second round.

In the NFL

In his first year as a Bill, Schobel started all 16 games and recorded 6.5 sacks on 42 tackles. He steadily improved becoming one of the Bills best on defensive, and has the second most sacks among all active players. In 2006, Schobel made the Pro Bowl for the first time, and was voted in as an alternate in 2007.
