Early Life

Aaron Michael Heilman was born in Logansport, Indiana, on November 12, 1978. He attended Logansport High School. He continued his education at the University of Notre Dame. In 2001, he was selected by the New York Mets with the 18th pick in the Major League Baseball amateur draft.³

Pro Career

On June 26, 2003, Heilman made his MLB debut with the New York Mets. In 2007, Heilman appeared in 81 games and compiled a 4.26 earned run average, with 62 strikeouts and 7 wins.⁴
