30 Seconds to Mars is a goth-tinged Alternative Rock band from Los Angeles, California, led by frontman and actor Jared Leto. The band was formed in 1998, by Leto and his brother Shannon. It is now made up of both Leto brothers and Tomo Miličević. Former member, Mike Wachter, left the group in 2007.
Their first album, 30 Seconds to Mars, was released in 2002. Their second was leaked five months early. To counteract the release, they added two bonus tracks and golden tickets that would allow two lucky fans the opportunity to go to any 30 Seconds to Mars concert for free. In addition, whomever received thee tickets would get to backstage passes. They are scheduled to begin work on their third studio album during the summer of 2008.
The band's singles include ""Capricorn (A Brand New Name)," ""Edge of the Earth," "Attack," "The Kill (Bury Me)" and "A Beautiful Lie."
