2007 Qahtaniya Bombings
On August 14, 2007, four co-ordinated suicide bomb attacks detonated in the Iraqi towns of Qahtaniya and Jazeera. The attack, which killed 796 and wounded 1,562, was the largest suicide bomb attack since the onset of theIraq War.

Motive
High ranking U.S officials have speculated, with relative certainty, that the Qahtaniya bombings were an act of "ethnic cleansing" targeted at the Kurdish Yazidis that make up 30% of the regions population.
